DOWNTOWN, NJ -- Vote now for the Looniest Liberal of the Year! Do your civic duty and get out the vote. Tell your friends. Let's see if we can make this a worthwhile poll. Look for the poll in my right sidebar.
UPDATE: It appears that if you want to view the results of the poll, it takes forever for the results to load. I guess they have slow servers or something. My apologies.
UPDATE #2: The polls are closed and here are the results...
DOWNTOWN, NJ -- On this most sacred of days in the Christian calendar, we are reminded of how blessed this country has been for nearly 230 years. I believe that these blessings are due in no small part to its being a Christian nation, founded largely by Christians and based on Christian values. Being a Christian nation, it is a giving nation. Americans have given more to charity than any other nation on earth.
But at this time of year, we are also reminded of the efforts by the godless atheists who seek to secularize our nation and eliminate all traces of Christianity. We are also reminded of the efforts by the Islamofascists who seek to attack our country and turn it into an Islamic calliphate.
Our religion, indeed our very way of life is threatened. But should we be surprised about this? Jesus, whose birth we celebrate, warned us that such a day would come... and worse yet.
9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation, and put you to death; and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. 10 And then many will fall away, and betray one another, and hate one another. 11 And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. 12 And because wickedness is multiplied, most men’s love will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end will be saved.
-- Matthew 24:9-13
As Christians, we will be hated by all nations for the sake of Christ's name... even by the United States of America. Organizations like the ACLU, PFAW, NARAL and PETA are false prophets that have already arisen to "lead many astray". As a result, many Christians have already "fallen away" from the true faith to follow a false gospel.
They follow the false gospels of "diversity" and "separation", where everyone EXCEPT Christians have a right to worship or celebrate their faith. They want to take away our freedom OF Religion, and replace it with freedom FROM Religion.
They follow the false gospels of "choice" and "mercy killing", which is really a gospel of "death". But Christ said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the LIFE." Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the LIFE." Jesus said, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal LIFE." God is a God of LIFE!
They follow the false gospel of "animal rights" and "environmentalism", where animals have more rights than humans. They worship the creation and not the Creator. Jesus said, "What man of you, if he has one sheep and it falls into a pit on the sabbath, will not lay hold of it and lift it out? Of how much more value is a man than a sheep!" In Genesis God said, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have DOMINION over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth." And God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food."
Let us stand fast then brothers and sisters, for the path is sure to get more difficult rather than less. Let your "light" shine forth in this darkening world. Put your light on a lampstand and not under a bushel, that it may be seen by men. Keep fighting the "good" fight, for as wickedness multiplies... the love of many will grow cold. "But he who endures to the end will be saved."
DOWNTOWN, NJ -- At last! I'm finally done. No more classes. No more assignments. No more projects. Assuming I passed (probably a good assumption), I will now have my second degree... this one in "Computer Technology". Woo Hoo!
Does this mean I'm a computer whiz kid? Well... no. But at least now I'm officially "more than a novice". I can fix some PCs. I can make some flash movies. I can do AutoCAD. I can do some network stuff. And I got lots of reference books. Yipee! And it only took me about 4 years (nights and weekends).
Feel free to submit your computer questions... I can give bad advice as well as anybody!
Analysis of Story on Bush Address
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Associated Press has done it again, this time with Pete Yost's story on the Address to the Nation last night by President Bush from the Oval Office. Let's analyze Yost's story. Items in "quotes" are paraphrased...
1 - "EVERYBODY is happy that President Bush acknowledged mistakes in Iraq and took responsibility... but he still hasn't done enough".
2 - A quote from Bush that makes him look bad.
3 - "Bush promises troop reductions".
4 - "Bush's critics want more specifics".
5 - Negative comments from Harry Reid (D-NV).
6 - "Bush says we are winning in Iraq".
7 - "Bush cites difference between honest critics and defeatists".
8 - Negative comments from Ted Kennedy (D-MA).
9 - More negative comments from Ted Kennedy.
10 - "Critics say a change in direction is essential".
11 - Negative comments from Carl Levin (D-MI).
12 - More negative comments from Carl Levin.
13 - Comment by Levin against Condi Rice quoted from NBC's Meet The Press.
14 - "Bush says there would be negative consequences to pulling out of Iraq".
15 - Call for troop withdrawal by Russ Feingold (D-WI)
16 - "Bush says 'war is not lost' and terrorists agree".
17 - Positive comments from John Warner (R-VA).
18 - More positive comments from John Warner.
19 - Weekend attacks in Iraq.
20 - Ultimatum to Bush from Joe Biden (D-DE).
21 - Comment by Biden, "Can't pull out. But we might 'lose' if Shia govt. is set up".
The liberal bias in this story is just so obvious and overwhelming, it "reeks". First of all, who says "everybody" is happy. He only quotes one Republican in the article and that Republican's comments are primarily positive (which is why they are buried near the end of the story).
Of course, you can always trust a liberal to use "honest candor" as a weapon against a conservative. Then, he gives more credibility to the liberal "critics" than to the President of the United States, and proceeds to quote them incessantly. I mean, when you want to analyze an address by the President, I guess the best way to do it is to talk about what everybody ELSE has to say.
And don't forget to include quotes by liberal "critics" that have nothing to do with the subject of the article. Use quotes from a TV show that aired hours before the address, and which do not even pertain to the subject of the address. Irrelevant criticism is always important when you have nothing else left to make your point, but want to keep making it anyway.
Toss in a brief positive comment near the end, remind readers that attacks are happening in Iraq, and then close the story with an ultimatum from a liberal "critic"... as if the Democrats have all the power and are telling Bush what to do...
"We have six more months to get this right," Sen. Joseph Biden, D-Del., said on MSNBC, but added that "the president has to move."Is Pete Yost on the DNC payroll?UPDATE: Pete Yost has already changed this story. In the last few minutes he has changed the title of the article, added a sentence about Bush's new conference today, and thrown in some more negative comments from Nancy Pelosi (D-CA)... Sheesh!
Dem Patriotism To Be Unearthed in 2007
TULSA, OK -- A Plymouth Belvedere automobile, buried in a concrete vault in Tulsa, Oklahoma back in 1957 is to be unearthed in 2007 along with what has been called "a significant supply of Democratic Patriotism". The automobile was buried in the vault as part of the state's golden anniversary celebration. The idea behind the entombment was to preserve some items of interest or value from the year 1957, for examination 50 years later in 2007.
While the automobile has been getting all the attention, administration officials are eagerly anticipating the unearthing ceremony in hopes that the rumored supply of Democratic Patriotism also buried there has not deteriorated over the years. Ironically, stockpiles of Democratic Patriotism began to decline at about the same time as the entombment. Between 1957 and the mid-1960s, Democratic Patriotism began to decline sharply with a significant number of Democrats beginning to support the Vietnam anti-war movement. Since then, the supply of Patriotism has continued to evaporate, leaving in its place only a disturbing, rabid anti-American bias. Today, Democratic Patriotism is a rare find, and highly treasured.
"Just imagine...", said an unnamed Whitehouse spokesman, "if we can find a decent supply of untainted Democratic Patriotism, we might be able to synthesize it, reproduce it in quantity, and develop a vaccine which could then be used to innoculate Democrats everywhere. Heck, it might even re-unite our country".
Mainstream Media pundits rejected the Whitehouse comments with their typical negativism, suggesting that it is unclear how well the automobile or the Patriotism were stored. Democrats called for the appointment of a Special Prosecutor to investigate possible criminal activities by the Bush administration.
Looney Liberal of the Week: John Kerry
This week's award goes to John F. Kerry for his appearance on Face The Nation. You can read the entire transcript HERE.
The interview opens with Kerry cutting off Schieffer every few seconds...
Announcer: FACE THE NATION with CBS News chief Washington correspondent Bob Schieffer. And now from CBS News in Washington, Bob Schieffer. It goes downhill from there...
SCHIEFFER: Good morning again. With us in the studio, Senator Kerry, and welcome back to the...
Senator JOHN KERRY (D-MA): Good morning.
SCHIEFFER: ...Sunday talk show circuit. This is your first Sunday appearance...
Sen. KERRY: Glad to be here.
SCHIEFFER: ...I believe, since January, our first face-to-face interview since...
Sen. KERRY: Happy to be with you.
SCHIEFFER: ...the presidential debate before...
Sen. KERRY: Wow.
SCHIEFFER: ...the election.
SCHIEFFER: Do you think the American people's security would be endangered if we withdrew our forces over the next six months?
Sen. KERRY: I believe that you have to begin with the fundamental truth of the ground in Iraq....
I guess that ground in Iraq is special, since it contains "fundamental truth". GREAT DIRT!
Sen. KERRY: ...We're not fighting World War II, Bob. The dangers in Iraq on a day-to-day basis to our troops are what basically, fundamentally, IEDs, improvised explosive devices, and suicide bombers. You don't need troops trained on the level of World War II or NATO troops and others in order to be able to do what we need to do, provide security in Iraq.
That's right Bob, let's get some idiots in there to provide security... you know, like the Iraqi people maybe?
Sen. KERRY: We can provide for the security of our country but it begins with the understanding that success in Iraq is predicated on an exit strategy.
READ: "MY success is predicated on Bush running away from Iraq."
Sen. KERRY: And I am calling for a summit in the region immediately so that we have the political reconciliation necessary to resolve the political differences that feed the insurgency.
READ: Let's have a meeting and talk about terrorism... Yipee!
SCHIEFFER: All right. Let me shift to another point of view, and it comes from another Democrat, Senator Joe Lieberman of Connecticut. He takes a very different view. He says basically we should stay the course because, he says, real progress is being made. He said this is a war between 27 million Iraqis who want freedom and 10,000 terrorists. He says we're in a watershed transformation. What about that?
Sen. KERRY: Let me--I--first of all, there is so much more that unites Democrats than divides us.... But I think what we need to do is recognize what we all agree on, which is you've got to begin to set benchmarks for accomplishment. You've got to begin to transfer authority to the Iraqis. And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the--of--the historical customs, religious customs. Whether you like it or not...
Sen. KERRY: ...Iraqis should be doing that.
Oh REALLY? Iraqis should be "going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, women, breaking the historical customs and religious customs" of their fellow Muslims. VERY INTERESTING.
One of the Looniest Left-Wing Liberal Losers on the planet!
Dean To Coach Whitehouse On Losing
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Howard Dean, former failure as a contender for the role of Democratic candidate for president in 2004, announced today that he will show President Bush how to lose the war in Iraq. "I have plenty of experience at being a loser", said Dean, "and I intend to teach Bush everything I know".
According to White House spokesman Scott McClellan, President George W. Bush is "focused on our plan for victory". Dean laughingly responded to McClellan's statement by saying, "See what I mean? This guy Bush will NEVER be a loser if he keeps focusing on victory!" Those closest to Dean acknowledge that he has a terrific losing attitude.
Dean recently told radio station WOAI in San Antonio, Texas, that "the idea that we're going to win the war in Iraq is an idea which is just plain wrong." In general, Democrats greeted Dean's pronouncement favorably, as most of them are losers too.
The first to agree with Howard Dean was John F. Kerry, who lost the Presidential election of 2004. Kerry actually WON the Democratic nomination in 2004, so he is not as much of a loser as Dean, but he has a strong losing attitude and can be credited with almost single-handedly causing America to lose the war in Vietnam... and he has been a loser ever since.
There are plenty of other losers in the Democratic Party and more yet in the Mainstream Media, but time does not permit us to mention them all by name.
Looney Liberal of the Week: Richard Reeves
PARIS, France -- This week's award goes to Richard Reeves (author). Don't ask me why he's hanging out in Paris, France. He recently wrote a biography of Reagan which his liberal peers describe as "a surprising and revealing portrait of one of the most important leaders of the twentieth century." Why surprising? Because it is not completely negative. Is it completely positive? Well, I don't know... I haven't read it.
Nevertheless, despite any tribute to Reagan, Reeves had the audacity to publish an article this week which asks the question, Is George Bush the Worst President — Ever? You can read the article at his web site HERE, (if you must).
As "proof" for his suggestion, Reeves uses the following lies and innuendos...
He has taken the country into an unwinnable war and alienated friend and foe alike in the processHe is bankrupting the country with a combination of aggressive military spending and reduced taxation of the richHe has deliberately and dangerously attacked separation of church and stateHe has repeatedly "misled," to use a kind word, the American people on affairs domestic and foreignHe has proved to be incompetent in affairs domestic (New Orleans) and foreign (Iraq and the battle against al-Qaida)He has sacrificed American employment (including the toleration of pension and benefit elimination) to increase overall productivityHe is ignorantly hostile to science and technological progressHe has tolerated or ignored one of the republic's oldest problems, corporate cheating in supplying the military in wartime
"Unwinnable war"? ...by whose definition? Oh yeah, that's right... Nancy Pelosi and John Murtha (idiots).
"(He has) alienated friend and foe alike"? ...Friends like who? ...France, Germany and Russia? ...who needs 'em? "Foes"? ...yeah, and so who cares about our foes?
"He is bankrupting the country"? ...who is he kidding? The deficit is actually declining thanks to the Bush tax cuts. Job creation is at an all time high. More jobs with more taxes coming in and deficits declining ...ya think maybe he's talking about France?
"He has deliberately and dangerously attacked separation of church and state"... Way to go George W!!!! I'm behind ya 100%! It's about time. Those nincompoops (sp?) on the left don't understand that we have Freedom OF Religion... not Freedom FROM Religion (idiots).
"He has repeatedly "misled," to use a kind word, the American people". Yeah, well PROVE IT!!! G.W. said nothing different than most Democrats said about Saddam Hussein in the lead up to the War in Iraq. Those idiots just can't remember (or don't want to remember) that they said the exact same thing Bush said. And if G.W. had different or "better" intelligence than the people on Capitol Hill, then that info was even more alarming and frightening than the National Intelligence Estimate (idiots).
"He has proved to be incompetent". Yeah, by comparison to who?... J. "Flip-Flop" ("I was in Vietnam", "3 self-induced Purple Hearts", Mr. Botox, Mr. Spray-on Tan) Kerry? Gimme a break! Or... Al ("I invented the Internet", Mr. Lock Box) Gore? Gimme a break! ...George W. Bush was chosen by God to be our President at this crucial time in history for a reason. Nobody else could handle the job. And that includes Bill "1st black president", saxophone-playing, bicycle-riding through the White House, doughnut-eating, blowjob-receiving, liar before the grand jury, ("depends on what the meaning of IS... is"), only second-to-be-impeached president, and the very first president to be accused of rape... Clinton.
"He has sacrificed American employment"... see attached graphs (source U.S. Department of Labor).
"He is ignorantly hostile to science and technological progress"... Oh yeah, you must mean the guy that approved the use of existing stem cell lines for R&D purposes. Oh yeah, you must mean the guy that is pushing hybrid cars and hydrogen-powered vehicles. Oh yeah, you must mean the guy that wants to go back to the moon and on to Mars. Oh yeah, you must mean the guy that wants to develop a National Missile Defense system. Oh yeah, you must mean the guy that wants to develop our nuclear power capability.... No science or technology there!
"He has tolerated or ignored one of the republic's oldest problems, corporate cheating in supplying the military in wartime"... Huh? Where did that come from? How 'bout some evidence? What in the hell is this guy talkin' about?
I can't believe we have to put up with this nonsense. Like Reagan, it might take 25 years, but you watch... G.W. Bush will be right up there with Washington, Lincoln, FDR and Reagan... Garonteed!
