Leftists/Liberals/Atheists with teir heads stuffed full of knowledge, yet no understanding. Psalm 127:1
Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
Our nation will not be preserved by its freedom of religion, or its multicultural dreams. God has no freedom of religion statute in his law book. It may sound cruel and I may be accused of being too narrow, but the truth is that the love of Christ has never and will never void his Word.

Thank God for Congressman Forbes.
And Thank God to you Hawkeye ,for showing us the clip. One thing I keep hearing is how no one on the Conservative side is stepping up,there are no young guys ,just a bunch of bald old men.
Congressman Forbes puts the lie to that.We just need more like him.

Barb,

My pleasure. You're right. We need more people like Mr. Forbes in government. Keep praying.

Best regards...

Now Hawkeye, you know the founding fathers were secret atheists and agnostics and only went to church and said religious things to get re-elected. And even if that isn't exactly true, being Christians themselves, the founders believed that anything which smacked of religious moralism or of Christianity were a direct threat to our constitutional republic. That's why when Thomas Jefferson wrote there should be a "strict wall of separation between church and state" (and it doesn't really matter he's the only founder who ever said that) he meant America should adopt the atheological thinking of atheists and agnostics, who are much smarter than the rest of us, and enforce their beliefs through force of law so there should be no prayer to, no acknowlegement of, and no belief in that quaint Creator of our unalienable rights in our public institutions.

So now we get to all practice atheism's dictates of not praying in school and not availing ourselves of the Ten Commandments because if were were to do so even on a voluntary basis, it would destroy America. Only atheists have the right view of the American founders' true sentiments and even of the Christianity they practice back in the olden days, back when Christian faith was actually atheist/agnostic/deistic faith.

How many times must it be said? Atheists have nothing against you praying, they just don't want to be made to pray too, and neither do the myriad of other faiths that make up both yours and my nation.

This isn't hard, you are not being victimized and you are not the chosen people. Sorry.

Cheers

Elroy,
I beg to differ...

"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own people, that you may declare the wonderful deeds of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." --1Peter 2:9

And how can we ascertain the veracity of that statement?

So we can't ascertain the veracity of this statement? No, I thought not. Therefore, I'm afraid that your claim of 'chosen people' status is unverifiable, untenable and unenforceable as the law cannot, and should not, reflect your unsubstantiated superstitions.

Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Catholics, Protestants, Baptists, Evangelicals, Zoastrans – you can't all be right, but you can all be wrong.

Elroy,
You see but do not perceive. You hear but do not understand.

Elroy, not everybody out there seeks the truth. Everybody thinks they are right, few know that they are. These few are the ones who are not afraid of truth.

But Hawkeye®, maybe YOU see but do not perceive, maybe you hear but do not understand. Why is it me?

'Elroy, not everybody out there seeks the truth.'

True enough. Some people are happy with what they want to hear. Some ain't. I'm not.

'Everybody thinks they are right'.

Not necessarily. Strength comes from being able to admit when one is wrong and adjust accordingly.

...'few know that they are. These few are the ones who are not afraid of truth.'

It is those few that wouldn't know the truth if it kicked them in the teeth because they think they have already found it.

The truth about truth is that truth is relative, and that is the truth that will set you free.

Cheers

Elroy
