More Important Than The Economy

Nancy Pelosi adjourned the House of Representatives yesterday and turned off the lights and the microphones while Republicans defiantly remained and demanded to stay in session until something was accomplished to address high gasoline prices. But Pelosi decided that there was something more important than the faultering U.S. economy, or the average Americans who find themselves struggling to stay ahead. What was so important? Why her vacation of course. One must get one's priorities straight, eh? After all, the Democrats have accomplished so much lately.

While a good Conservative, I have never been one to NOT point out my chosen party's faults. As repulsive as Pelosi's actions are, I have to put some blame on GWB IF, he does NOT order these elitists back to work!

PS: If I had the money, I would produce an ad for TV showing families NOT going on vacation, a few scenes of prices at the pump, then Pelosi and company whooping it up, with the Connie Francis' song, "V-A-C-A-TION" playing in the background!

As seen in the picture you posted with this thread, Nancy Pelosi sucks...so to speak.

R.A.M.,
GWB can't order the Congress back... separation of powers and all that. But he has sure tried to embarrass them (they deserve it).

Yeah, I've had some ideas about ads and videos too, but I can't find the time or don't have the skills to pull it off.

(:D) Best regards...

Hawkeye, are you sure about that? I don't think there are any separation of powers anymore. Didn't you see where the Judicial branch overruled Bush on advisors testifing before Congress?

Seriously though, I have heard more than one commentator say he, (Bush), should order Congress back in session.

Maybe it would fall under an Executive Order, but I believe he can do it.

R.A.M.,
I heard on the radio today that Bush can call a special session of Congress. But they also said that Nancy Pelosi could just make her first order of business a motion to adjourn.

Regards...
