No surprise, most ignorant hicks are.

on a diff note, it is evident that you are no conservative. You're just a Republican hack.

True conservatives will oppose this program like they fight gun registration cards. Why? because they don't want government interfering in their lives.

Why do you think Bush is not getting the unequivocal support from Republicans on the Hill that he would like on this issue? That's cos many of libertarian type Republicans are taking a step back and thinking that it has gone a bit too far.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12075358.post-1148039820945967972006-05-19T07:57:00.000-04:002006-05-19T07:57:00.000-04:00WCL,Actually, I would like to think that I'm very ...WCL,
Actually, I would like to think that I'm very nice imbecile. Hmmm... can I get a copy of my portrait?

Oh, and that guy that calls the hotline numbers and has a 401K with Fidelity? ...I think that's a different guy.

Anyway, I was just trying to point out that we're talking about two separate NSA programs here. Bush did not lie about the first program, and he didn't try to mislead anybody about the second program... he was just trying to keep it TOP-SECRET since it is CLASSIFIED information. That's what the government is supposed to do with SECRETS.

Of course, the liberal media has no qualms about telling all our secrets to the enemy, do they? So therefore, Bush is a jerk because he was doing his job... while the liberal media is heroic because they were selling us out? Get a grip.Hawkeye®https://www.blogger.com/profile/15719046062819366641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12075358.post-1148007827683764572006-05-18T23:03:00.000-04:002006-05-18T23:03:00.000-04:00what kind of imbecile are you? By monitoring the numbers you call, it can easily paint a picture of Hawkeye, a person who owns a amex card, calls 1800 hotlines to chat with single females and has a 401K account with Fidelity.

Let me again reiterate that I personally do not give a shit if the NSA is listening to my calls, but it is a fact that Bush deliberately tried to mislead Americans into thinking that the NSA's program only touches on international calls.

And please, cut the liberal-media- is-not-accurate crap. That is so old.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12075358.post-1147993254065833142006-05-18T19:00:00.000-04:002006-05-18T19:00:00.000-04:00WCL,You should get your facts straight before you ...WCL,
You should get your facts straight before you start typing. GWB was perfectly correct when he said that the NSA was only "wire-tapping" international calls.

This new program that was "exposed" by USA TODAY has nothing to do with "wire-tapping" at all. The NSA is not examining the content of the calls. The NSA doesn't even know the names of the people who made the calls. As far as the NSA is concerned, it's like they're looking at a bunch of phone bills without the names and addresses on the phone bills.

Furthermore, as some of the phone companies are suggesting, the program may be nowhere near as wide as the USA TODAY article suggests. So much for accurate reporting.Hawkeye®https://www.blogger.com/profile/15719046062819366641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12075358.post-1147976227670332942006-05-18T14:17:00.000-04:002006-05-18T14:17:00.000-04:00I personally think that the NSA spying thing is no...I personally think that the NSA spying thing is not that big a deal but this is another example of the White House being caught lying. He explicitly told the nation that the surveilance is only limited to international calls. Well, if that is not a lie, what is??

On a different note, I find conservatives brushing aside the whole NSA spying thing as kinda ironic. Conservatives are the ones who go on and on about crap like "troops are fighting for our freedom" (this notion itself is nothing short of asinine). So American troops are fighting in Iraq for our freedom to get our calls monitored by the government???Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12075358.post-1147739260788347932006-05-15T20:27:00.000-04:002006-05-15T20:27:00.000-04:00Darth,Now THERE'S an idea!
